Meet Carolina Soria, the latest employee spotlight at Protech Associates.

Protech’s Carolina Soria is a woman in motion. She manages to live life to the fullest by balancing a loaded social calendar with her day-to-day duties as a member of Protech’s Argentina team, an eight-employee division based out of the company’s auxiliary office in Buenos Aires, Argentina. 

Carolina serves as Protech’s web developer and support specialist. In this role, she assists with the design and implementation of Protech’s Web Portal. Additionally, she advises clients on Web Portal-related issues and incorporates configurations into their websitesSix years ago, after stints as a programmer for both an IT consulting and software development company and an Argentinean government agency, Carolina joined Protech’s Argentina team. The Universidad Tecnológica Nacional alumnus’ strong IT background enabled her to make a seamless transition to the company. 

As a result of Protech’s flexible telecommuting policy, Carolina relocated from Buenos Aires, Argentina, back to her hometown, Tucumán, Argentinaallowing her to spend more time with her family. Besides visiting relatives, Carolina loves spending time with her dog, Isis, who is named after the Egyptian goddess; participating in activities at her local Catholic Church; taking part in Latin dancing; undergoing teacher trainingcompleting arts and crafts projectsand traveling. Recent trips include visiting Washington, D.C. and New York City in the United States, as well as various locations throughout Colombia, Peru, Brazil and CubaCuba is her favorite vacation destination because of its white sandy beaches and clear blue water. 

Whether Carolina is making the most of her spare time or fulfilling her Protech responsibilities, she displays a passion for helping people. Carolina’s favorite quote is from Mother Teresa and it states, “We ourselves feel that what we are doing is just a drop in the ocean. But the ocean would be less because of that missing drop.” She uses this quote for inspiration during her teacher training and while assisting Protech team members and customers.
