Meet Vijay Yanjarlapati, the latest employee spotlight at Protech Associates.

By The Protech Team

For as long as Vijayender (Vijay) Yanjarlapati can remember, he has always been infinitely curious. He relishes the challenge of figuring out how things work, especially if it’s related to technology. A former mechanical engineer, Vijay finds himself thriving at Protech due to his curiosity and his willingness to help others.

Vijay joined Protech in 2002 and currently serves as a senior application developer and professional services manager. In these roles, he customizes and develops applications for Protech Cloud Business Solutions and its foundation, the Microsoft Dynamics CRM platform, while working closely with customers by troubleshooting any issues reported to Protech’s incident management system. Additionally, Vijay is helping Frank Bruffey, III, develop Protech’s new India team. As part of the initiative, Vijay spent four months in his hometown, Hyderabad, India, recruiting staff and looking for potential sites for a satellite office.

Vijay, an alumnus of the Sir Mokshagundam Visvesvaraya Institute of Technology (Sir MVIT), moved to the United States to work for Protech after learning of the opportunity from his friend and current Protech employee, Bhasker Mekala. He is always up to the challenge of learning about what’s new in the company’s constantly evolving technology and across the industry

When Vijay isn’t customizing applications or assisting customers, he spends his spare time watching aerospace-related science shows on the Discovery Channel and learning the “ins” and “outs” of airplane dynamics. Vijay’s non-aerospace hobbies include cooking, watching his favorite dramatic movies (especially A Few Good Men) and spending time with his family – wife, Kalpana; five-year-old son, Dhruv; and one-year-old daughter, Nitya. A devoted family man, Vijay credits his father, Thimma Reddy, for teaching him life lessons on patience, treating everyone with respect and organization—all of which he relies on while fulfilling his dual roles at Protech.
